Good Lord, I didn’t post my wish list

Wow, turns out I didn’t post my Amazon wishlist previously.  Well, here’s a healthy mix of music and books that I have been craving.  If you can find it used, all the power to you!  The link is at the bottom of this post.
I’ve kind of bought the knicknacks that I already have desired this [...]

Post-Thanksgivingness

So for Thanksgiving break I was a bum and mainly slept.  I haven’t felt this well-rested in years, which is mildly spooky.  Right now I’m at a very slow college fair (nice scheduling, the Monday after Thankgsiving break), and waiting slowly to go crazy.
Yesterday I discovered an excellent pizza parlor that is very close to [...]

Wow…ciao, fall travel

Well, I’m officially done with Fall Travel AND Fall Preview Day, making me a happy but extremely tired Admissions counselor. From here on out, it’s just catching up, and file review.

While I was in Olympia, I managed to catch an Akira Kurosawa film, and eat at Southern Kitchen, which is a branch of the [...]

South Bend, the land that time forgot

Or, “Oh My, I’m in a flood.”
I’ve never driven so much with my windshield wipers on the maximum setting.  Right now I’m in South Bend, sitting in a gorgeousBed and Breakfast.
My time here on the peninsula has been pleasant, if not completely soaked.  I always enjoy the coast, and I drove along Highway 105, which [...]

Halloween Aftermath

I just finished reading American Gods, by Neil Gaiman.  I picked it up when I was at Powell’s bookstore in Portland, and couldn’t put it down while I was on the road in Oregon.
Soon I’ll be hitting the trails to venture toward Southwest Washington to do high school visits.  Perhaps I’ll dust off my hiking [...]
