I call important people.

Today i called former governer locke on the phone, and chatted with his wife about the upcoming season at the Seattle children’s Theatre. Not surprisingly, they were very polite. Alas, they did not order anything from me, but it was cool nonetheless.

Iced americanos will be the death of me

I have to keep reminding myself that my iron stomach isn’t terribly iron when it comes to Jack in the Box food. And, I keep forgetting that I’m hyper-sensitive to caffeine, ever since I basically went off the stuff over in Japan (well, relatively. In college you had to drip-feed me soda to [...]

Blogging For One

Haha, I’m a statistic, I hit the top two reasons people blog:
1. Therapy.
2. To keep in touch with family and friends.
Admittedly, I feel a bit like Dougie Howser, M.D., doing his little typing ditty at the end of each episode. And, of course, it is/was a marvelous tool to keep everyone in [...]

Q is for Quiz Night

Well, my team won at quiz night at Clever Dunnes on Capitol Hill. 2.50 pints, too, so that’s nifty. We donated our $40 in winnings to the Katrina Relief Fund. Go team go!

I am not an athletic person. I do not exercise every day. I have not trained [...]

Sales, part II

Well, to no one’s surprise really, I’m really good at convincing past subscribers that this season at SCT is really good, and that they should subscribe. Did over a $1000 in sales, so that’s good.
Even with all the craziness, sadness, and heartbreak in the other parts of my life goin’ on, it’s [...]

Sales…

Surprisingly, doing sales over the phone isn’t quite as distasteful as I thought it would be. First, we have a lot of leads (previous subscribers, ticket buyers), so no cold calls. And I’m selling something cool (theater), and I’m pretty good at what I do. I definitely appreciate the art of the [...]
