Manpurse!
Quick observations about SK before they slip out of my head:
Russian/English/South Korean combination shopkeepers hurt my head.
Kimchee is delicious.
many men like ‘manpurses’, like in the TV show ‘Friends’.
The weather is absoloutely beautiful.
Entering the cultural museum cost me a wallet-blowing $0.50.
Women holding hands/arms is acceptable. So are couples holding hands. Which is a stark [...]

Cheap Food! Cheap Food!
Hey All,
I’m in South Korea now, kind of hard to believe, for me. It strikes me like a giant chinatown, with the street vendors and the smell, and the vibrancy of everything. Also, I can’t read or speak a lick of South Korean, so it’s back to good ol’ english/Japanese/Russian/Miming or whatever I [...]

To far and distant lands!
Well, time to depart to South Korea, where my cell phone won`t work. My time here in Osaka has been great, but it`s time to move on to where the food is cheaper

Jason

Osaka!
Hey all,
tarepanda was tired from the heat, so I`m taking over for a bit. I`m in Osaka now, staying with my friend Yuka. Yesterday, she took me to the Tenjin Festival, which is one of the big 3 in Japan.
Cheers!

Day 1

It`s Bus Time!
Hey party people,
so tomorrow, I will stop on a bus close to where I live at 9:15 PM, and I will emerge some 8 hours later in Kyoto, the old capital of Japan. There, my partner in crime, known as the beacon of moral standards, and I, the pillar of virtue, will see what [...]

Sayounara!
Dear Readers,
Here will probably be the last photo I post for awhile. About half of us IES kids went to a cruise out on Tokyo Bay, where great fun was had by all.
Two songs come quickly to mind:
saying goodbye,
why is it sad?
Makes us remember the good times we’e had.
you’re in heart,
and until [...]
