Taco Bell is a dangerous phrase
did you know that taco in japan means octopus? imagine the indignation a japanese tourist must have when he strolls into a taco bell in america, and instead of a mecca of octopus, he finds rehydrated grade d beef! oh, the humanity.

Keitai o kaitai
This means `i want to buy a cell phone`. yes, i have bought a cell phone, which i will receive tomorrow. they@re dirt cheap here in japan, and EVERYONE has one. i kid you not. I will be able to receive emails and phone calls for free!

Karaoke, Okinamiyaki, Broken Japanese
Hey all,
Expect pictures soon. Last night I ate okinamiyaki, sort of a Japanese egg pancake, and sang many a song at a karaoke bar.
I also saw a giant, robotic, blinking sunflower/pacman that was 12 feet high and sang a song when you passed by.
Ah, Japan.

Minority No More
Hello everyone! I am in Japan. Contrary to popular belief, Japanese people are of pretty average height. It is very overwhelmingly different here, but everyone seems to be very friendly! I am going through intensive orientation, but I will post some digital pictures very soon!
