Thanksgiving meal! Prime rib, as well as some brioche French toast from Columbia city bakery, and some house smoked bacon from bob the butcher.

Spent my free morning in bangkok by seeing the giant reclining Buddha (Wat Pho), birthplace of Thai massage. It was great to actually do some sightseeing while in bangkok. Also had a chance to get my iPhone repaired and a haircut for jake’s upcoming wedding. Airplane in 6 hours!

Well, looks like I slipped up and didn’t write about Singapore, but mainly because I was exhausted and kind of sick. Nothing noteworthy I did this year, except for the excellent and ridiculous German microbrewed beer that I had while I was there.

This picture is a liter of dunkel beer.

Jakarta was a bit of a whirlwind of traffic and crazy college fairs. Managed to meet up with an MBA alumnus who took me out to a delicious satay place!

First time in three years I had a morning free in kl, so Jen and I managed to run to the Batu Caves outside of kl, lonesome caves at the top of 272 steps. They house some Hindu temples, as well as a lot of monkeys.

Kim, jen and I took a cooking class on a rare free morning in Hanoi. We learned how to make good spring rolls, sweet and sour shrimp, fish soup, and a green papaya salad. It was a relaxing, delicious time.

Hey all, HK was a great whirlwind. We managed to sneak down to ,a one or two star michelin restaurant, and number 65 on Perrier’s world best restaurants, 2010 edition.

They specialize in extreme Chinese molecular cooking. My favorite dish was this, foie gras with muy choy ice cream, a bitter mustard green.
